Mildred "Sis" Sallee

Mildred “Sis” Sallee, 84, passed away Tuesday, August 7, 2012 at her residence in the Napoleon Community of Gallatin County.

She was the daughter of the late John Lewis and Lucille Eggelston Klette. She owned and operated Sis’s Family Restaurant in Newport and Family’s Main Street Restaurant in Walton. She was a member of the Baptist faith and the Grant County Homemakers.

She is survived by her children, Sheila Dees of Warsaw, Sandy Schweitzer of Newport, Larry Huffman of Independence, Janet Sparks of Macon, GA, Frankie Sparks of Crittenden, Roger Sparks of Macon, GA, Karen Eldridge of Indian Rock Beach, FL, Sharon McAtee of Magnolia, TX, Mike, Robert and Danny Luttrell all of Lexington; stepchildren, Tom Huffman of Independence, Jerry Huffman of Walton, Greg Huffman of Verona, Patty Conover of Latonia, Cheryl Estep of Corbin; twenty five grandchildren, many great grandchildren and many great great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by two stepsons, Bill and Ed Huffman.

Visitation will be 5-8pm on Thursday with funeral services at 11am on Friday, August 10^th at the Hamilton-Stanley Funeral Home, 14635 Walton-Verona Road, Verona, KY 41092. Burial will be in the New Bethel Cemetery, Verona, KY.

Memorials are suggested to the Hospice of the Bluegrass, 7388 Turfway Road, Florence, KY 41042.
