To each member of Hank and Imogenes family, may the comfort of The Holy Spirit surround each of you during this time of loss. Henry was a wonderful family man,a great minister of the gospel, and a faithful follower of the Christian faith. He and Imogene were an inspiration to all who knew them.Shawn,I always appreciated you bringing your mom and dad (then your dad) by my shop to visit when they (dad) came to visit you.I truly enjoyed those visits. This world is a little poorer and heaven much richer with the passing of our friend, Henry McAdams.

I first met Hank at Wolverine Christian Service camp as a child. Our paths crossed periodically over the years. It was our great joy to have been able to spend these last few years in Mason, OH sharing with Hank. He always sat in the front row of our Classic Praise Service. He always asked if Mary was going to be in the service as he always looked for her. We will miss our beloved friend! Our prayers, thoughts, and love are extended to his family.

Henry was an important contribution to our Christian lives. Early Camp years were vintage Hank and Robert Palmer. Great fun with Christian teaching. Later in life, we got to know him through his family. Especially through his daughter Sherry and her husband Dan. His deep respect and trust of the scripts shines through everything his life touched. It is our pleasure to know him. Our great reward to have his teaching, prayers and Christian example.

My beloved Dale beat Hank to heaven 1-25, but I imagine they are having a great time on the golf course together. We were at Heart of the Hills when Hank first started golfing because that's where he could find the men in his congregation! Bob Umbanhowar, formerly from St. Louis but now at Cactus Christian Fellowship, PHX, where Dale and I have worshipped since 8-18-91, was the first to e-mail us about the fabulous Resurrection celebration with Hank and Jesus. Then we heard from Joyce T. Imagine meeting a fellow Hank-and-Imogene-ite in PHX!! Oh, such great memories...like when Imogene made her fruit cake at Christmas and made Hank go to another town to buy the hooch!! And when we beat even the preacher and his family to church so often, after driving from Utica, that Hank gave us a key and said we could turn the furnace on, put out the hymnals, etc., before I turned the organ on to play with Joyce Tenniswood. Hank's dry wit cracked us up so many times. What a delight watching the three kids grow up, even for the too-too-short time we were there before being called back to KS. Joyce T. has kept us posted by e-mail when they stopped to see your folks on their journey to and from MI/FLA. I am rejoicing with you, through the tears, that your folks are together and they are all (including Dale) receiving their rewards for their lives of service to our glorious Lord. Have many fond memories of both Hank and Imogene. Remember especially Hank's snapping his fingers during a sermon--to keep the elephants away! It worked--we never had any elephants in the services! They both were dearly loved by all of us at the St. Louis Church of Christ, where I still attend services. You have been in my thoughts and prayers. Joyce Fisher

Sherry, Mike, Shawn and the entire McAdams family, We cannot begin to tell you what a postive impact your parents made on our lives. Hank and Imogene were the perfect example of God's Love in action. They sustained us with their love and their prayers and for that we will be forever grateful. We know your father has joined your Mom in God's heavenly kingdom. This world has lost two great warriors but God's Kingdom has gained to more saints. We love you all and keep you in our prayers. Ray, Toni and the whole Rideout family.

Sherry, and all of the family, Somehow, we do not seem to be really ready to have our eathly family leave us. We are seldom physically together, but linked by the wonderful technologies of the day,so we can keep up on everything. One never knows when the Lord has decided that we are finished with the tasks he had planned for us (thankfully), but we in Christ are consoled with the fact that we tried to do what we understood what he wanted of us, and did our best. I believe Hank was ready to go to his rest, and be with his family and his Lord. Our hearts share your sorrow in this time of loss, but also rejoice with his final destination. Steve & Patti

Sam Hastings (04/03/2013 10:46 pm)

All who knew Hank, knew he loved God, his family and the church. His passing really marks the end of an era. I can't remember when there wasn't a Hank McAdams. To say he will be missed is a tremendous understatement, but we will meet again.

Verna McColley (04/03/2013 6:38 pm)

So sorry to hear of the passing of your Dad, Sherry. Just think of meeting him in glory with your Mom and my folks and John's folks! They are having the time of their lives there, I'm sure! Another great preacher has reached his reward, Hallelujah! Our loss is certainly his gain. I so appreciated the notes that your folks sent to us on several occasions letting us know they were praying for us and our kids! I only met him once, but I considered him a friend. Verna
