Kenneth Ray Perkins

October 12, 1942 — August 9, 2018

Kenneth Ray Perkins , 75, husband of Bernidine Perkins and resident of Warsaw, passed away Thursday August 9, 2018 at St. Elizabeth Medical Center - Florence after a brief illness. Born in Grant County, Kentucky, he was the son of the late Roy and Toy Dews Perkins.

“Big Kenny”, as he was affectionately known and loved, was an over-the-road truck driver for Jim Green Trucking. He proudly served his country during the Vietnam era in the United States Army.

In addition to his wife, Bernidine, he is survived by one daughter: Pam (Lanny) Dixon of Dry Ridge, KY; one son: Kenny Ray Perkins, Jr.; two brothers: Delmore Perkins of London, KY and Russell Perkins of Florence, KY. Five grandchildren also survive: Tina Horan, Mary Beth Schutzman, Jack Robinson, Jett Perkins and Blake Dixon, along with three great-grandchildren: Lane Horan, Madison Schutzman and Kaelyn Schutzman. He was preceded in death by one daughter: Terrie Robinson, one grandson: Gary Robinson and all three of his sisters: Norma, Helen and Ann.

Visitation will be Monday August 13, 2018 from 11:00 – 1:00 at Eckler-McDaniel Funeral Home in Dry Ridge, with the funeral beginning at 1:00 in the chapel of Eckler-McDaniel Funeral Home. Burial will be in Hill Crest Cemetery in Dry Ridge.

Serving as pallbearers will be: Blake Dixon, Jack Robinson, Chris Schutzman, Kenny Perkins, Eric “Cooter” McIntire and Roger Barlow.
