Norma Sharpe

Norma Louise Ware Sharpe was born September 10, 1925 in Williamstown, Kentucky and passed away August 9, 2018 in Florence, Kentucky at the age of 92. She was the daughter of the late Homer Milton and Letha Pearl Faulkner Ware.

On Nov. 20, 1944 Norma was united in marriage to Robert “Bob” Sharpe who preceded her in death on Dec. 15, 2011. Norma graduated from Williamstown High School as Valedictorian in 1943. Norma was a member of the Williamstown Baptist Church where she served in the WMU and GA’s. She was also an officer in the DAR. Norma was a volunteer at Helping Hands for many years. Norma was a retired Diet Supervisor for the UK Medical Center and was a former Co-owner of Bob’s Meats in Williamstown. She enjoyed reading, quilting and was a passionate fan of the UK Wildcats and the Cincinnati Reds.

She is survived by a daughter: Sandra Jo Brown of Williamstown; 2 sons: David Sharpe and Kevin (Bear) Sharpe both of Lexington; 2 sisters: Helen Baker of The Villages, Fla and Sue Callahan of Grant County, Ky; 10 Grandchildren; 19 Great Grandchildren; and 2 Great Great Grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by 2 sons: Robert “Bobby” Sharpe and Larry Sharpe; a brother: Bill Frank Ware; and a sister: Dorothy Brown.

Funeral services will be 4:00 PM, Monday, August 13, 2018 at Elliston-Stanley Funeral Home in Williamstown with Dr. Terry Leap officiating. Visitation will be 2:00-4:00 PM at the funeral home. Burial will follow in the Williamstown Cemetery.
