Karin Marksbury

July 27, 1946 - July 28, 2018

Karin Rentsch Marksbury of Jonesville, KY was born July 27, 1946 in Langenselbold, Germany and died Saturday July 28, 2018 at her residence at the age of 72.

She was the daughter of the late Erich and Ottilie Einschutz Rentsch, a former cashier with Save-A-Lot Grocery in Dry Ridge and attended the Dry Ridge Baptist Church. On December 4, 1976 she was united in marriage to her husband Hubert Clayton “Butch” Marksbury who preceded her in death in 2001. Also preceding her in death is a step-son, Clayton Marksbury.

Surviving is 4 daughters, Joy Humphrey of Williamstown, Katie Lewis of Sanders, Sonja Fain of Corinth, and Nancy Purnell of Corinth; 2 sons, James French of Dry Ridge, and Manfred Einschutz of Langenselbold, Germany; 21 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and 2 step-daughters, Judy Hampton and Angie Krupper both of Hamilton, OH.

Funeral services will be at 2:00pm Friday, August 3, 2018 at the Elliston-Stanley Funeral Home in Williamstown, KY followed by burial in the Jonesville I.O.O.F. Cemetery. Visitation will also be Friday 11:00am-2:00pm at the funeral home.
