Betty Irene Code

September 25, 1938 - July 14, 2018

Mrs Betty Vaught Code, a Walton resident, passed away on Saturday, July 14, 2018 at her residence at the age of 79. She was the widow of George Code, Jr.

Mrs. Code was a former custodian for Boone Co. School's, a member of the Pleasant View Baptist Church, and a devout Christian.  She loved her family dearly and loved to hand sew quilts.  In her free time, she would watch and feed birds at her home.

Mrs. Code is survived by one son, George Code (Kimberly) of Dry Ridge, KY, two daughters, Betty Wynn (Chris) of Walton, KY, Janet Marksberry (Jerry) of Williamstown, KY, one brother, Robert Vaught (Patsy) of Somerset, KY, two sisters, Nora Warren (Millard) of Somerset, KY, Anna Stricklin (Charles) of Georgetown, KY, eight grandchildren and eight great grandchildren.

Visitation will be Thursday, July 19, 2018 from 11am - 1pm at the Hamilton - Stanley Funeral Home in Verona, KY.  Funeral services will be at 1pm.  Burial will follow in the Pleasant View Baptist Church Cemetery.  Memorials are suggested to the American Lung Association.
