Bobby Powell

August 10, 1934 - July 6, 2018

Robert Lawrence Powell, Jr. was born Aug. 10, 1934 in Mason, Kentucky and passed away July 6, 2018 in Erlanger, Kentucky at the age of 83.  He was the son of the late Robert Lawrence, Sr. and Evelyn Evans Powell.

Bobby, as he was lovingly known, was a retired boiler operator for the Formica Corporation where he spent 45+ years of dedicated service.  He was a veteran of the United States Army, a member of the Lystra Church of Christ, and a former Union Steward.  One of his favorite past times was driving around some of his favorite places.  He also loved spending time in Florida.

He was preceded in death by his wife Frances Rae "Frankie" Powell in 1989 and by a grandson: Josh McGough in 2003.

He is survived by his wife: Linda Powell; his daughter: Cindy McGough of Williamstown; 2 grandchildren: Jennifer McGough and Justin McGough both of Williamstown; and 4 great grandchildren: Riley Dematteo, Joshua T. McGough, Jackson McGough and Brennan McGough.

Funeral services will be 2:00 PM, Friday, July 13, 2018 at Elliston-Stanley Funeral Home, Williamstown with Bro. Wayne Rice officiating.  Visitation will be 11:00 - 2:00 PM Friday.  Burial will follow in the Williamstown Cemetery.
