Alvin Ray Snedicor

Alvin Ray Snedicor , 66, of Dry Ridge, KY, died Wednesday June 27, 2018 at St. Elizabeth Medical Center in Edgewood, KY . Born July 20, 1951 in Covington, KY, he was the son of the late William and Mildred Irene Merrill Snedicor.

On December 5, 1966, in Covington, KY, he was united in marriage to the former Rosemary Ward; she survives. Alvin was the retired owner of Grant Co. Electric Motor Repair, where he built and refurbished electric motors. He will be deeply missed and long remembered as a committed husband, devoted father and loving “Papaw”.

Survivors, in addition to his wife of 52 years, Rosemary, include one son: Ray (Lisa) Snedicor of Taylor Mill, KY; one daughter: Schawn Snedicor of Dry Ridge, KY; one sister: Janet Thacker of Dry Ridge, KY and a daughter-n-law: Valerie Snedicor of Dry Ridge, KY. He was preceded in death by a son, Jason Snedicor and a brother: Larry Snedicor. Five grandchildren also survive: Miranda Frasure, Amanda Benton, Darien Snedicor, Devlin Snedicor and Ashley Nicole Beatty along with 9 great-grandchildren. “The sun rose and set on Papaw’; his legacy will live on in their lives for many, many years. Last, but not least, Alvin is survived by his Best Bud, "Tucker”, a German Shorthair Pointer.

A graveside service will be conducted Saturday June 30, 2018 at Broadridge Cemetery (Knoxville Rd) at 3:00 p.m.
