Marilyn Oaks

October 24, 1957 - June 20, 2018

Marilyn Oaks , 60, passed away Wednesday June 20, 2018 at her residence in Fort Mitchell, KY. Born October 24, 1957 in Carrollton, KY, she was the daughter of the late Austin and Ruby Booth Oaks.

She worked as a Shift Lead at Itron Gas Meters in Owenton. She made a profession of faith at the Sanders Baptist Church many years ago. Marilyn will always be remembered as a “big time patron of Owen Co. Public Library, where she will be greatly missed.

Survivors include her children: Kara (Andy) Settles and their children: Allie and Lila of Owenton, KY, Jodi Bishop and her children: Carleigh and Jace, Ian Oaks and his girlfriend, Anna Yockey of Fort Mitchell, KY.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday June 23 at 3:00 p.m.; visitation will begin at 1:00 and continue until the time of the service at Pleasant Ridge Baptist Church, located at 3575 Sweet Owen Road, Owenton, KY 40359.
