Bruce Alan Roberts

September 12, 1952 - May 13, 2018

Bruce Alan Roberts was born September 12, 1952 in Primghar, Iowa and passed away May 13, 2018 at his residence in Dry Ridge, KY. He was the son of the late Richard William and Lois Mae Rieffenberger Roberts.

Bruce was a retired Pest Control Technician for Orkin after 20 years of service.  He was a Navy veteran of Vietnam and served on the USS Sperry as well as the USS Ulysses S. Grant submarines.

Bruce had many hobbies including playing poker, fishing and "tinkering" where he earned the nickname "Fix-it Bruce". Everyone who knew him knew how much he loved joking around and making them laugh yet they also knew he had a little stubborn streak at times as well.  Bruce will be remembered most for his love of people and being neighborly. He adored his grandchildren and spent as much time with them as he could. He taught his family about patience, kindness and about helping others.  Bruce volunteered in foster care for more than 10 years and has always been known as a loving husband, father and grandfather.

Bruce is survived by his wife, Donna Lee Lockwood Roberts.  In addition to his wife he is survived by a daughter: Dawn Holley (Jason Scott) of Eminence; 3 brothers: Larry Roberts of St. Augustine, FL, Dale Roberts of Washington DC and Dennis Roberts on Wichita, KS; 4 sisters: Twilla Spruell of Wichita, KS, Joyce Edgington of Wichita, KS, Rita Johnson of Oklahoma, OK and Pam Brogan of Portland, OR; and 4 grandchildren: Josephine Scott, Camille Scott, Violet Scott and Georgia Scott.

He was preceded in death by 2 brothers: Terry Roberts and Craig Roberts.
