Joseph Richard Arnold, Jr.

April 2, 1951 - April 22, 2018

Joseph Richard Arnold, Jr ., 67, husband of Mary E. Arnold, passed away Sunday April 22, 2018 at his residence. Born in Grant Co., KY, he was the son of the late Joseph Richard, Sr. and Wanda Mae Moore Arnold.

An Army veteran of the Vietnam War; he received a Purple Heart Medal after being wounded in service. He was a former mechanic with Gordon’s Garage in Dry Ridge. He was a 1969 graduate of Williamstown High School; he was the very first graduate to receive a diploma from the current WHS. On May 15, 1981 he married the former Mary Elizabeth Robinson in Dry Ridge, KY; she survives.

Survivors, in addition to his wife include, one daughter: Lisa (Ernie) Carter of Williamstown, KY; one son: Jeff Ayres of Owenton, KY; one sister: Kathy (Ed) Arnold of Dry Ridge, KY; three aunts: Helen Mann of Williamstown, KY, Eloise Moore of Indianapolis, IN, Ruby Arnold of Dry Ridge, KY; four grandchildren: Sarah (Stanley) Patton, Haley Hester, Jayde Carter, Christian Carter; four great-grandchildren: Carter Patton, Caelyn Patton, Cooper Patton and Jenna Phillips. Joe was preceded in death by one son: Keith Allen Arnold; one brother: Larry Wayne Arnold, one uncle: Robert L. Arnold and a special friend, his Jack Russell dog, “Biscuit”.

Visitation will be held Thursday April 26, 2018 at Stanley Funeral Homes, Williamstown location from 5:00 – 8:00. A committal service will be held Friday April 27, 2018 at Kentucky Veterans Cemetery – North in Williamstown with full Military Honors at 12 Noon.
