James E. Perkins

James Everett Perkins of Maryville, TN and formerly of Grant County, KY was born May 2, 1943 in Dry Ridge, KY and died Saturday, April 14, 2018 at the Blount Memorial Hospital in Maryville, TN at the age of 74.

He was the son of the late James Henry and Lena Mae Humphrey Perkins, a retired welder with the Clow Corporation, and a member of the Concord Baptist Church. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by 1 son, Tony Perkins, 1 brother, Bill Perkins, and 1 sister, Ann Adams.

Surviving is 2 daughters, Paula Lee Miller of Maryville, TN and Melodie Niece of Dry Ridge; 1 sister, Carol Ann Whaley of Williamstown; 1 brother, Robert Henry Perkins of Williamstown; 8 grandchildren, Tyler Miller, Kameron Miller, Cody Niece, Dylen Niece, Hailey Niece, Alex Niece, Kaytlin Epperson, and A.J. Perkins; and 2 great-grandchildren, Jaycee Miller and Keelan Miller.

Funeral services will be 1:00pm, Wednesday, April 18, 2018 at the Eckler-McDaniel Funeral Home, Dry Ridge, KY followed by burial in the New Vine Run Cemetery. Visitation will be 11:00am-1:00pm Wednesday at the funeral home.
