Mr. Jackie Richard Simpson of Florence, KY. passed away Saturday, March 31 at home at the age of 76.  Mr. Simpson, or Jack, as he was known to family and friends was born February 8, 1942 in Harlan County, KY. to the late Daniel James Simpson and Aretha Long Simpson.  Mr. Simpson was a retired machinist and a member of the Locust Pike Pentecostal Church of God.  Mr. Simpson enjoyed fishing and working on and restoring cars and he especially had a fondness for Ford automobiles.  Mr.Simpson will be most fondly remembered by his family for being a loving and devoted father and grandfather.

In addition to his parents Mr. Simpson was preceded in death by his wife: Marie Simpson on June 9, 2017.  He was also preceded in death by sisters: Geneva Irene Miller, Ruth Bernice Cooper, by brothers: Lawrence Odis Simpson and Delmus Eugene Simpson.

Mr. Simpson is survived by daughters: Lila Annis and her husband Jack of Dry Ridge, KY., Lee Simpson of Union, KY., Shelia Denlinger and her husband Scott of Florence, KY., sons: Richard Simpson of Crittenden, KY., Jason Lee Simpson of Florence, KY., sisters: Mary Addliee (Orville, deceased) Farmer of Newport, KY., Jessie Valerie (Sherman, deceased) Ward of Harlan, KY., brothers: Freddy Wayne Simpson and his wife Beverly of Corinth, KY., Johnny C. (Emma, deceased) Simpson of Delhi, OH., James F. Simpson and his wife Linda of Oakley, OH., Tommy W. Simpson and his wife Carol of Cincinnati, OH., 19 grandchildren and 24 great grandchildren.

Funeral services for Mr. Simpson will be conducted 1:00 pm Wednesday, April 4 in the chapel of the Elliston-Stanley Funeral Home, Williamstown, with Bro. Tom Simpson and Bro. Paul Long officiating.  Visitation will be there on Wednesday from 11:00 am - 1:00 pm.  Burial will be in the Williamstown Cemetery.

Memorial contributions if desired may be directed to the Locust Pike Pentecostal Church of God.
