Virginia Kay Smith

June 19, 1943 - March 26, 2018

Virginia Kay Smith, a Mt. Zion community resident, passed away at her residence on Monday, March 26, 2018 at the age of 74. She was the wife of Darrell W. Smith.

Mrs. Smith was a retired secretary for Commonwealth Insurance Agency for 30+ years. She was a former assistant office manager for Elliston-Stanley Funeral Homes. She was a member of the Crittenden Baptist Church and former member of the Ladies Auxiliary of the Crittenden Fire Department.

In addition to her husband Darrell, she is survived by three sons, Dwayne A. Smith (Michelle) of Crittenden, KY, Darren S. Smith of Florence, KY, Douglas L. (Sandy) Smith of Florence, KY, two brothers, Wm. “Bill” Johnson (Ruth) of Morning View, KY, Ben R. Johnson (the late Mary) of Crittenden, KY, one sister, Nancy Rodgers (the late James “Jim”) of Ft. Wright, KY, four grandchildren and two great grandchildren.

Visitation will be Friday, March 30, 2018 from 10am-1pm at the Elliston – Stanley Funeral Home in Crittenden, KY. Funeral will be at 1pm with Bro. Bobby Barnes presiding. Burial will follow in the Crittenden Cemetery. Memorials are suggested to the St. Elizabeth Hospice or the Crittenden Cemetery.
