Lois J. Rogers

June 18, 1932 - March 20, 2018

Mrs. Lois Jones Rogers of Georgetown, KY. passed away Tuesday, March 20 at the Dover Manor Nursing Home in Georgetown, KY. at the age of 85.  Mrs. Rogers was born June 18, 1932 in Scott County, KY. to the late Malcolm Jones, Sr. and Mabel J. Jones.  Mrs. Rogers was a homemaker and had worked many years ago at the former Hayden's Restaurant as a waitress.  She was a member of the Sadieville Christian Church.  Mrs. Rogers enjoyed music especially country and gospel music.  She enjoyed traveling, sewing and years ago she loved to dance.  She will be most fondly remembered by her family for being a loving mother and grandmother.

In addition to her parents Mrs. Rogers was preceded in death by her husband, Harry C. Rogers on August 6, 1998.  She was also preceded in death by siblings: Ralph Jones, Gaius Jones, J. L. Jones and Henry Jones.

Mrs. Rogers is survived by her daughters: Deborah Sewell and her husband Gerald of Georgetown, KY., Johanna Burgess and her husband George of Sadieville, KY., brothers: Malcolm Jones, Jr. and his wife Lillian of Corinth, KY., Larry Jones and his wife Faye of Georgetown, KY., sisters: Elaine Rutledge of Sadieville, KY., Jean Offutt of El Paso, TX., Wanda Reed of Waddy, KY., Joyce Parker and her husband Leon of Georgetown, KY.  Mrs. Rogers has 6 grandchildren: Sara Green, Leslie Waugh and her husband Brian, Jeremy Jackson and his wife DeeDee, Justin (Heather) Carr, Hannah (Ashley) Sewell, Jennifer (Frank) Burgess and she has 9 great grandchildren.

Funeral services for Mrs. Lois Jones Rogers will be conducted 11:00 am Friday, March 23 in the chapel of the McDaniel Funeral Home, Corinth, with Rev. Bobby Sageser officiating.  Visitation will be there on Thursday, March 22 from 5:00 pm - 8:00 pm.  Burial will be in the Corinth IOOF Cemetery.
