Thomas "Tommy" Wayne Colson

November 24, 1945 - March 19, 2018

Thomas “Tommy” Wayne Colson of Dry Ridge, KY was born November 24, 1945 in the Keefer Community of Grant County, KY and died Monday, March 19, 2018 at his residence at the age of 72.

He was the son of the late Winford Lee and Dorothy Mae Roland Colson, a member of the Antioch Church of Christ, and a Master Cattleman and former Owner of Colson Trucking. On August 24, 1965 he was united in marriage to his wife Brenda L. Breeden Colson.

In addition to spending his life as a cattle farmer, Tommy was an active member in the American Angus Association, former President of the Grant County Cattleman’s Association, and a former 4-H Beef Leader for Grant County.

Surviving is his wife Brenda L. Breeden Colson of Dry Ridge; 2 sons, Timothy Wayne and Nathan Wayne Colson both of Dry Ridge; 2 grandsons; 2 brothers, Jerry Colson of Jacksonville, FL and Pauly Colson of Demossville; and 6 sisters, Judy Martin of Crittenden, Sherry Burke of Dry Ridge, Pam Fisk of Demossville, Tammy Warman of Demossville, Winnie Colson of Williamstown, and Linda Colson of Falmouth.

Funeral services will be at 1:00pm Saturday, March 24, 2018 at the Elliston-Stanley Funeral Home, Williamstown, KY. Followed by burial in the New Vine Run Cemetery. Visitation will be 4:00-8:00pm Friday, March 23 at the funeral home.
