John Dennis “Denny” York of Crittenden, KY was born April 8, 1939 in Cincinnati, OH and died Saturday, February 10, 2018 at his residence at the age of 78.

He was the son of the late John Lee and Letha Blanche Howard York.  He was a retired assembly worker with Ford Motor Company in Sharonville, OH, and a member of the Sherman Church of Christ where he was a Sunday School Teacher of the Crusaders Class. Denny was also a member of the NRA as well as the UAW.

On July 30, 1955 he was united in marriage to his wife Marie Simpson York. In addition to his wife Marie, also surviving is 1 son, Danny (Missy) York of Williamstown; 3 daughters, Hope (Allen “Cat”) Catron of Corinth, Denise (Jeff) Melton of Dry Ridge, and Tiffany (Jason) Gabbert of Williamstown; 3 brothers Ronald (Norma) York, Gene (Margie) York, and Timmy York all of Corinth; 1 sister, Norma (Zemer) Hammond of Corinth; 10 grandchildren, Randi Collett, Maria Mains, Tess Knobloch, Jesse Melton, Seth Gabbert, Hunter Catron, Hailey York Krebs, Gage Gabbert, Reagan Gabbert, and Levi Gabbert; and 10 great-grandchildren, Dylan Knobloch, Nate Mains, Aleigha Mains, Corbin Knobloch, Bristol Knobloch, Cade Melton, Chloee Melton, Zavier Mains, Bentley Mains, and Kayden Krebs.

Funeral services will be 1:00pm Wednesday, February 14, 2018 at the Sherman Church of Christ in Dry Ridge, followed by burial in the Hillcrest Cemetery. Visitation will be 5:00-8:00pm Tuesday, February 13, 2018 at the church.
