Mary Elizabeth Thomas

March 14, 1934 - December 9, 2017

Mrs. Mary Elizabeth Prince Thomas was born in Matewan, West Virginia on March 14, 1934 and passed away at her son's home in Crittenden, Kentucky on December 9, 2017 at the age of 83.  She was the daughter of the late James and Sarah Clifton Prince.
On June 23, 1948, Mary was united in marriage with Lowell Douglas Thomas who preceded her in death on September 23, 2016.  She is survived by seven children: Christine Bryant and her husband, Greg, of Williamstown, Judy Smith and her husband, Daryl, of Owenton, Janet McKee and her husband, Harold of Dry Ridge, David Thomas and his wife, Darlene, of Crittenden, Greg Thomas and his wife, Terry, of Falmouth, Mark Thomas and his wife, Robin, of Dry Ridge and Bryan Thomas and his wife, Candace, of Glencoe; two brothers: Harry Prince of Dwale, Kentucky and Bill Prince of Prestonsburg; one sister: Violet Ann Prince of Prestonsburg; 15 grandchildren and 19 great grandchildren.  Mrs. Thomas was a homemaker and remained a member of the Elliston Baptist Church at the time of her passing.
Funeral services will be 12:30 PM, Tuesday, December 12, 2107 at the Elliston-Stanley Funeral Home, 132 S. Main St., Crittenden, KY 41030.  The visitation will also be on Tuesday from 10:00 AM until 12:30 PM at the funeral home.  Burial will follow in the Kentucky Veterans Cemetery, North in Williamstown.
