James Claude Tiller

March 15, 1947 - December 6, 2017

James Claude Tiller was born March 15, 1947 in Culleoka, TN and passed away December 6, 2017 at his residence in Dry Ridge at the age of 70.  He was the son of the late Claude Wilson and Doris Imogene Mabry Tiller.

On July 19, 1969 Jim was united in marriage to Dora Lou Sims Tiller.  In addition to his wife of 48 years, he is survived by 2 sons: Steven Dwayne Tiller (Rhonda) of Rutherfordton, NC and Patrick Allen Tiller of Dry Ridge; 4 sisters: Rebecca Hoppe of Taylor Mill, Patricia Brubaker of Union, Paulette Hensley of Florence and Marka McDaniel of Morning View; 4 grandchildren: Ashley Tiller, Nathan Tiller, Mary Tiller and April Tiller all of Rutherfordton, NC.

He was preceded in death by 2 sisters: Bonita Mays and Annette Tiller.

Jim was a truck driver for Royalty Trucking in Cincinnati, OH. He was a member of Mt. Zion Baptist Church in Dry Ridge where he faithfully served as Deacon and RA Leader.

Funeral services will be 2:00 PM Saturday, December 9, 2017 at the Mt. Zion Baptist Church.  Visitation will also be Saturday from 11 AM - 2 PM at the church.  Burial will be in the Mt. Zion Cemetery.
