Mrs. Hazel Bernie Woodyard of Owen County, KY. passed away Sunday, November 26 at home at the age of 89.  Mrs. Woodyard was born July 4, 1928 in Owen County, KY. to the late Henry Jones and Betty Clifton Jones.  Mrs. Woodyard was a homemaker and a dairy farmer and a member of the Stonewall First Church of God.  Mrs. Woodyard was also a member of the WCG women's group at church.  Mrs. Woodyard worked hard from an early age and loved farm work, growing a big garden and canning the vegetables her garden produced.  Mrs. Woodyard will most fondly be remembered as a dedicated and devoted mother and grandmother.

In addition to her parents, Mrs. Woodyard was preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth W. E. Woodyard on November 1, 2012, by a son: Kenneth Porter Woodyard, by a grandson: Benjamin Wade Dunaway, by sons-in-law: Gary Lucian Wright and Charles Rudd.

Mrs. Woodyard is survived by a son: William Bryan Woodyard and his wife Tammy of Owen County, 2 daughters: Cynthia Kaye Rudd of Owen County and Barbara Dunaway and her husband Tom of Owen County, a sister-in-law: Loretta Jones of Owen County.  She has 8 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren and 4 great, great grandchildren.

Funeral services for Mrs. Hazel Bernie Woodyard will be conducted 11:00 am Thursday, November 30 in the chapel of the McDaniel Funeral Home, Corinth with Rev. Tom Denny and Rev. Jackie Anderson officiating.  Visitation will be there on Wednesday, November 29 from 5:00 - 8:00 pm.  Burial will be in the New Columbus Cemetery, Owen County.

Those serving as pallbearers are: Garrison Wright, Chad Wright, Jason Dunaway, Jonathan Woodyard, Brent Woodyard, Andrew Tratani, Benjamin Wright, Talmon Scheidecker.  Honorary pallbearers are: Bryan Woodyard, Tom Dunaway and Mike Woodyard.

Memorial contributions if desired may be directed to the Alzheimer's Association.
