William Richard Palmer

June 21, 1952 - November 15, 2017

W.R. Palmer was born June 21, 1952 in Oneida, KY and passed away November 15, 2017 in Lexington, KY at the age of 65.  He was the son of Norma Jean Deaton Palmer and the late William Richard Palmer, Sr.

W.R. was a retired heavy machine operator, welder, farmer and a diesel mechanic.  Over the years he enjoyed horseback riding, fishing, hunting, and pulling trucks.  But most of all he will be remembered by his family for his love of cooking, and spending time with his children and grandchildren.

On December 21, 2000 he was united in marriage to Kathy Offutt Palmer. In addition to his wife he is survived by 1 daughter, Casey Palmer, 3 step daughters: Jessica Traylor, Erika Ruble (Allen), and Ashlee Traylor; a brother: Coy Lee Palmer (Kathy); a sister: Kim Palmer Moberly (Dwayne);  special nieces: Sara Palmer Moberly, Jennifer Partin (Everette, Jr.); and 3 grandchildren: Lacie Lee Ann Smith, Madison Lennette Gaines and Slade Allen Ruble.

Funeral services will be 1:00 PM Tuesday, Nov. 21, 2017 at the McDaniel Funeral Home in Corinth.  Visitation will be 11:00 AM - 1:00 PM at the McDaniel Funeral Home.  Burial will be in Sadieville.
