Margie Frances Beard

October 23, 1927 - November 12, 2017

Margie F. Beard , 90, widow of the late Bill Beard, passed away Sunday November 12, 2017 at “The Residence at Salem Woods” in Cincinnati, OH.  Born in Covington, KY, she was the daughter of the late Dan and Vena Clifton Hayes.

On April 19, 1947, Margie was united in marriage at the First United Methodist Church in Covington to Wilfred “Bill” E. Beard; he preceded her in death.

She is survived by a daughter, Judy (late Nolan) Rose of Crittenden, KY and a sister, June Shoemake of Morning View, KY. Four grandchildren also survive: Heather (Tim) Wilson of Dry Ridge, KY, Raymond Gibson of Butler, KY, Shane Gibson of Erlanger, KY and Huck Gibson of Florida, along with 7 great-grandchildren: Austin Wilson, Abby Wilson, Sadie Wilson, Austin Gibson, Curtis Gibson, Gunnar Gibson and Dominic Gibson. Margie was preceded in death by a daughter, Brenda Gibson, two brothers, Roy and Bobby Hayes and a sister, Alvena Vastine.

Visitation will be Wednesday November 15 at Eckler-McDaniel Funeral Homes in Dry Ridge, KY from 10:00 a.m. – 12 Noon; funeral services will begin at 12:00. Interment will be in the Floral Hills Cemetery in Taylor Mill, KY.
