Ralph Brewer

May 5, 1931 - November 9, 2017

Mr. Ralph Brewer, a Lexington resident, passed away at the Bluegrass Hospice in St. Joseph Hospital in Lexington, KY on Thursday Nov. 9, 2017 at the age of 86. He was the husband of Johnnie Thacker Brewer.

Mr. Brewer was retired as the owner and operator of Ralph Brewer Lumber and Logging Co. He was a member of the Unity Baptist Church, former manager of Camper Village in Dry Ridge, KY, and was a former guitarist with a family gospel group for several years.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by two daughters, Vanessa Smith (Michael) of Erlanger, KY, Annette Ridenour (Marvin) of Nicholasville, KY, three brothers, Ernest Brewer, Earl Brewer, Keith Brewer, three sisters, Lorine Haddix, Erma Plummer, Johanna Johnson, four grandchildren, Christopher Smith, Carolyn Girdler, Amy Donahue, Neal Ridenour, seven great grandchildren, Kylea Smith, Michaela Smith, Katlyn Girdler, Emmalee Girdler, Daniel Donahue, Savannah Donahue and Grace Donahue.

Visitation will be Saturday, November 11, 2017 from 11am-12pm at the Elliston – Stanley Funeral Home in Crittenden, KY. Funeral Services will be Saturday at 12 noon. Entombment will follow at the Hill Crest Cemetery in Dry Ridge, KY. Memorials are suggested to the Bluegrass Hospice, 2312 Alexandria Dr., Lexington, KY 40504.
