Nancy Lee Valvano

August 15, 1940 - October 24, 2017

Nancy Lee Yeary Valvano was born Aug. 15, 1940 in Cincinnati, OH and passed away Oct. 24, 2017 at her residence in Crittenden, KY at the age of 77.  She was the daughter of the late Willis Albert and Fannie Disney Yeary.

Nancy was a retired expediter for Spaulding Lighting in Cincinnati.  She was a member of the State Avenue Church of God.  Nancy is remembered by her family for her love of working in her flowers and spending time with her granddaughters.

On March 12, 1960 Nancy was united in marriage to Rodney Anthony Valvano.  In addition to her husband of 57 years, she is survived by a son: Mark Anthony Valvano and his wife, Darlene Christene of Walton, KY; 3 brothers: Philip Yeary (Peggy) of Cincinnati, Earnie Yeary (Jewel) of Cincinnati and Richard Yeary of Cincinnati; 3 sisters: Norma Angel of Cincinnati, Patricia Coyne of Walton and Beulah Wegman of Cincinnati; and 2 granddaughters: Amanda Nicole Risch (Joseph) of Verona and Christene Nicole Valvano of Walton.

She was preceded in death by a daughter: Theresa Lee Valvano; a brother: Ronnie Yeary; a sister: Dolores Hash; and 4 brother-in-laws: Earl Angel, Frank Boggio, David Coyne and Dale Hash.

Funeral services will be 2:00 PM Friday, Oct. 27, 2017 at Hamilton-Stanley Funeral Home with Rev. Philip Yeary officiating.  Visitation will be 11:00 AM - 2:00 PM Friday at Hamilton-Stanley Funeral Home.  Burial will be in the New Bethel Cemetery in Verona.
