Shirley Brinegar

February 13, 1931 - October 18, 2017

Mr. Shirley Brinegar of Crittenden, KY. passed away Wednesday, October 18 at home at the age of 86.  Mr. Brinegar was born February 13, 1931 in Richmond, KY. to the late Benjamin H. Brinegar and Mona Lynch Brinegar.  Mr. Brinegar was a retired truck driver with Roadway Express and a member of the Sherman Full Gospel Church as well as the Teamsters Union Local 100.   After his retirement from Roadway Mr. Brinegar worked for many years for Grant County Drugs and was also the caretaker of the Jonesville Rest Home.  Mr. Brinegar enjoyed hunting and fishing, watching the birds around his house, gardening, and when he was no longer able to do his own gardening he enjoyed watching other people do the garden work.

Mr. Brinegar is survived by a son: Paul Brinegar of Crittenden, KY., 3 daughters: Gail Brinegar of Burlington, KY., Regina Brinegar of Burlington, KY., Teresa Vance and her husband Byron of Burlington, KY., 6 grandchildren: Tim Monroe and his wife Candi of Berry, KY., Eric Brinegar of Crittenden, KY., Lora Brinegar of Crittenden, KY., Douglas Buckley of Burlington, KY., Tracy Buckley of Burlington, KY., Kevin Vance and his wife Elizabeth of Florence, KY., and 7 great grandchildren.

Funeral services for Mr. Shirley Brinegar will be conducted 1:00 pm Monday, October 23 in the chapel of the Eckler-McDaniel Funeral Home, Dry Ridge, with Rev. Gayliss Gaines officiating.  Visitation will be there on Monday from 11:00 am - 1:00 pm.  Burial will be in the Burlington Cemetery.
