Mrs. Lois Marlene Poe Adams of Dry Ridge, KY. passed away Thursday, October 12 at the St. Elizabeth Medical Center in Florence, KY. at the age of 86. Mrs. Adams was born April 5, 1931 in Covington, KY. to the late Thurman and Virginia Hedger Poe. Mrs. Adams was a lifelong member of the Bethany Baptist Church. In 1963 she began her career with the Grant County Circuit Court Clerk's Office and was elected as the Circuit Court Clerk in 1980 and served as the elected official until 1986. Mrs. Adams was a 1949 graduate of the Mason High School and on October 10, 1949 she married C. W. "Billy" Adams. In addition to her church membership, Mrs. Adams was a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution and the Grant County Homemakers.
In addition to her parents, Mrs. Adams was preceded in death by husband, Billy Adams in 1998 and by a brother: Bronson Poe in 2017.
Mrs. Adams is survived by a son: Greg Adams of Williamstown, KY., 2 grandchildren: Britni Gordon and her husband Joe of Dry Ridge, KY., Chasity Umbach and her husband Rian of Cincinnati, OH., 3 great grandchildren: Anatacia and Evelyn Umbach both of Cincinnati, OH. and Brennen Gordon of Dry Ridge, KY. Mrs. Adams is also survived by 18 nieces and nephews.
Funeral services for Mrs. Lois Poe Adams will be conducted 2:00 pm Monday, October 16 in the chapel of the Elliston-Stanley Funeral Home, Williamstown, with Rev. Don Kannady and Rev. Dale Adkins officiating. Visitation will be there on Monday from 11:00 am - 2:00 pm. Burial will be in the Holbrook Cemetery.
