June Marie Smith

June 16, 1944 - October 6, 2017

June Marie Bennett Smith, 73, passed away Friday October 6, 2017 at St. Elizabeth Hospice Center in Edgewood, KY.

She was born in Williamstown, KY on June 16, 1944 to the late Argust and Ova Marie Justice Bennett. She was united in marriage to Donald Smith on March 18, 1967. She will always be remembered for her beautiful smile; she never met a stranger, always saw the best in everyone and touched so many lives. She was a member of the Kento-Boo Baptist Church in Florence.

“June Bug”, as she was affectionately known and loved, is survived by her husband of 51 years, Donald Smith; four daughters and son in-laws, Holly Anne (Bill) Johnson of Walton, KY, Pamela Kaye (Beau) Archambault of Burlington, KY, Anna Marie (Darin) Collins of Corinth, KY and Amy Lynn (Mike) Souther of Walton, KY along with two sisters, Virgie Miller of Elsmere, KY and Joyce (Mike) Mann of Burlington, KY.

Eight grandsons survive, all of whom will serve as pallbearers: Cody Melcher, Dalton Johnson, Payton Johnson, Gregory (Autumn) Collins, Michael Chase Souther, Miller Souther, Ryan Collins and Ike Archambault.

Visitation will be Tuesday, October 10, 2017 at Elliston-Stanley Funeral Homes in Williamstown, KY from 5:00 – 8:00; funeral services will be conducted Wednesday morning at 11:30 at the funeral home. Interment will follow at Kentucky Veteran’s Cemetery North in Williamstown, KY.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Kento-Boo Baptist Church c/o Stanley Funeral Homes,  P.O. Box 130,  Williamstown, KY 41097.  A fellowship meal will be provided following internment at Kento-Boo Baptist Church - Fellowship Hall, located at  7037 Curtis Ave. Florence, KY 41042
