Larry Dale McClure

December 12, 1950 - September 13, 2017

A Dry Ridge resident, Mr. Larry Dale “Mac” McClure, passed away at his residence on Wednesday, September 13, 2017 at the age of 66.

On December 12, 1950, Larry was born to the late Harold McClure and Omega Ashcraft McClure-Osborne in Mt. Zion, KY. On June 19, 1970, Larry was united in marriage to Pamela Kay Beach, whom he has loved and cherished for over 47 years. Through this union, they have one son, Jason Dale McClure (Phoebe) of Lone Pine, CA, one daughter, Julie Ann Spillman of Dry Ridge, KY and eight grandchildren, Haley, Makayla, Jayden, Braelynn, Tennyson, Gentry, Kestrel, and Veery. Larry is also survived by one brother, Jerry Wayne McClure of Florence, KY, and one sister, Peggy Jean Spillman of Mt. Zion, KY.

Larry was the owner and operator of McClures Plumbing Inc. He was a deacon at the Elliston Baptist Church. He loved to spend time with his family, pull tractors, ride motorcycles and dirt bikes, loved construction, travelling, and was a Cincinnati Reds baseball fan. Larry lived by his own creed; To be a man, Love yourself, Love God, and Love your family.

Visitation will be Saturday, September 16 from 4-8pm at the Elliston – Stanley Funeral Home in Williamstown, KY. Funeral Services will follow on Saturday at 8pm. A celebration of Larry’s life will be held at a future date and time at the family’s convenience. In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully requests donations to be made to either Elliston Baptist Church, St. Jude’s Children’s Research Fund, or the Samaritan’s Purse.
