Janet Clair Thomas

October 11, 1933 - September 13, 2017

Mrs. Janet Clair Thomas of Dry Ridge, KY. passed away Wednesday, September 13 at the St. Elizabeth Medical Center in Williamstown, KY. at the age of 83.  Mrs. Thomas was born October 11, 1933 in Cincinnati, OH. to the late Walter Evans and Mildred Ashcraft Evans.  Mrs. Thomas was a homemaker and along with her husband formerly operated a dairy farm and raised tobacco.  Mrs. Thomas was a member of the Dry Ridge Baptist Church and before that was a 50 year member of the Stewartsville Baptist Church.  Mrs. Thomas was also a member of the Stewartsville Homemakers and she enjoyed gardening, knitting and crocheting.

Mrs. Thomas is survived by her husband of 65 years, Calvin E. Thomas, 1 son: Jeffrey N. Thomas of Williamstown, KY., 1 daughter: Lori Ann Reed and her husband Donald C. Reed, Jr. of Charleston, S.C.

Funeral services for Mrs. Janet Clair Thomas will be conducted 3:00 pm Sunday, September 17 in the chapel of the Eckler-McDaniel Funeral Home, Dry Ridge with Rev. Don Kannady and Rev. Willie Ailstock officiating.  Visitation will be there on Sunday from 1:00 pm - 3:00 pm.
