Mr. Jerry Franklin Keith of Crittenden, KY. passed away Tuesday, September 12 at his home at the age of 75.  Mr. Keith was born June 8, 1942 in Covington, KY. to the late Frank Keith and Elizabeth Graves Keith.  Mr. Keith was a true public servant, devoting his life and career to the Kentucky State Police.  Mr. Keith served with KSP for 23 years, both as a trooper and as a detective.  One very large and tragic case he worked during his time was the Beverly Hills Supper Club fire in 1977.   He retired from the Kentucky State Police in 1986.
After retirement from KSP Jerry was the owner of Bluegrass Realty and Auction Co. where he worked in real estate sales and auctions as well as building appraisals.  Among his other accomplishments was the fact that he was an original founder and organizer of the Lloyd Wildlife Skeet Club, member and past master of the Crittenden-Dry Ridge Masonic Lodge #694 F & AM, and a 32d degree mason of the Indra Consistory of the Scottish Rite in Covington, KY.,   Jerry loved fly fishing out west and for 17 years, he and his late wife Carolyn traveled the highways and back roads of America.  Jerry was also a patriot and proudly served his country in the United States Air Force.

In addition to his parents, Jerry is preceded in death by his wife: Carolyn Elizabeth Keith on April 13, 2014.

Jerry is survived by a son: Jerry F. Keith, II of Crittenden, KY., 2 grandsons: Evan Keith and Brayden Keith both of Crittenden, KY.

Masonic services for Mr. Jerry Franklin Keith will be conducted 8:00 pm Friday, September 29 in the chapel of the Eckler-McDaniel Funeral Home, Dry Ridge.  Memorial visitation will also be there on Friday, September 29 from 5:00 - 8:00 pm.  Burial with military honors will be 11:00 am Saturday, September 30 in the Riverside Cemetery, Falmouth, KY.
