Willard Fields, 77, husband of Brenda Mulberry Fields, passed away Thursday August 31, 2017 at St. Elizabeth Hospital in Florence. He was born December 30, 1939 in Corinth, KY, son of the late Stanley and Opal (Holland) Fields.
Willard was a member of Williamstown Baptist Church. He served as an Officer, later promoted to Sergeant and later ended his career in law enforcement as Captain with the Williamstown Police Department after 17 years on the force. For 29 years he worked as a bus driver for the Williamstown School System.
Survivors, in addition to his wife, Brenda, include two sons, Greg (Debbie) Fields of Walton, KY and David (Tiffany) Fields of Dry Ridge; two step-sons; Jeff Mulberry of Dry Ridge and A.J. (Cyndi) Fitzpatrick of Crittenden, KY; one daughter Trena (Darrell) Cherry of the Cordova Community in Grant Co. and one sister Rita Faye Hayden of Georgetown, KY. He was preceded in death by a 3 brothers; Millard, Ronald and Donald Fields and one sister, Marilyn Sue Wagoner. Seven grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren also survive, along with numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
Visitation will be Sunday September 3, 2017 at Elliston-Stanley Funeral Homes in Williamstown from noon until 2:00 p.m. Graveside services will immediately follow at Williamstown Cemetery with Rev. Paul Marksberry officiating.
Serving as pallbearers are: Steven Cherry, Scott Fields, Bobby Webb, A.J. Fitzpatrick, Jeff Mulberry and Ronald Wayne Fields.
