Carolyn M. Ebner

With heavy hearts we share the passing of Carolyn M. Ebner (Hecker). She left us suddenly on July 12, 2017 at St. Elizabeth Hospital in Edgewood, KY at the age of 84.

Carolyn lived a full and wonderful life. She was an amazing person and Mother who raised eight Children, she was a Grandmother to nine and a Great Grandmother to one. She was affectionately a “Mom” to many…a Friend to all and truly an Angel on earth. She really enjoyed quilting, gardening and participating in the Grant County Woman’s Club and Grant County Historical Society, as well.

She will be most remembered and missed for her gentle nature, big heart and her gift of hospitality. She and her Husband opened their home to all, and always made everyone feel welcome and loved.

Carolyn is preceded in death by her Son (William Ebner).

She is survived by her Husband (Richard M. Ebner, Sr.) and her Sister (Alice Flood) of Denver, CO.

She is also survived by seven Children: Ann Ebner of Dry Ridge, KY; Richard M. Ebner, Jr. (Jean Ann) of Dry Ridge, KY; Patricia Wood (Brian) of West Chester, OH; Joseph Ebner of Sarasota, FL; Michael Ebner (Sherrie Kinderdine) of Fairfield, OH; Mary Thatcher (Mike) of Independence, KY; and Susan Webster (Jeff) of Hebron, KY.

Her Beloved Grandchildren include: Stephen Ebner of Florence, KY; Kati Ebner of Dry Ridge, KY; Ellie Zwick (Robert) of Walton, KY; Morgan Ebner (Doug Howard) of Hebron, KY; Sara Ebner of Hebron, KY; Abbigale Thatcher of Independence, KY; Jacob Webster of Hebron KY; Benjamin Webster of Hebron, KY; and Mallory Wood (Andy Kalb) of St. Bernard, OH.

And her beloved Great Grandchild is: Kallie Jean Ebner of Dry Ridge, KY.

A visitation to celebrate Carolyn’s life will be held at the Elliston-Stanley Funeral Home in Williamstown, KY from 1:00 pm to 4:00 pm on Sunday, July 16, 2017. The continued celebration will follow afterward at the Ebners’ home.
