Glenna Rose Lee

August 19, 1921 - July 7, 2017

Glenna Rose Lee, 95, widow of Robert C. Lee, passed away Friday July 7, 2017 at "The Willows at Hamburg" in Lexington. She was the daughter of the late Henry and Lou Ora Tolbert Littrell.

Retired after 37 years of teaching; she started her career at the Bethany School and ended at the Owen Co. Elementary School. On July 13, 1940, she was united in marriage to the late Robert "Bob" Lee. After 66 years of marriage, he preceded her in death on June 30, 2006.

She was member of the New Columbus Methodist Church; in recent years she attended New Columbus Baptist Church and Lusby Mill Baptist Church.

Glenna is survived by her daughter, Patty (late Charles) Wright of Owen Co.; five grandchildren, Glenn (Jennifer) Wright of Owenton, Michelle (Neal) Cobb of Nicholasville, Beth (Mark) Hertweck of Owenton, Melanie (John Paul) Hanson of Owenton and Robert (Erika) Lee of Lexington. Twelve great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild also survive. She was preceded in death by one son, Bobby (Bonnie) Lee and two sisters, Lillian Ellis and Thelma Howard.

Visitation will be Monday July 10, 2017 at McDaniel Funeral Home - Corinth, from 4:00 - 8:00. Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday July 11 at 1:00 with the Revs. Ronnie Angell, Brad Vincent and Jesse Bourne officiating.  Internment will follow in the New Columbus Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made in Mrs. Lee's memory to New Columbus Baptist Church.
