Maggie Sue Steele Carrasco Taylor, of Williamstown, KY, departed this life to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, at 5:55PM, Monday, May 1, 2017, while being cared for in the South Amherst, Ohio, home of her granddaughter, Amanda Pifer. She was 74 years young.

She was born December 22, 1942, to Clifford “Bud” and Lucille Sammons Steele at Red Jacket, on Beech Creek, Mingo County, West Virginia. She spent most of her childhood there and at Gilbert Creek, West Virginia, before moving on to the Cleveland, Ohio, area, and subsequently, to Kentucky.

She was a home healthcare giver for many years and a member of the Corinth Baptist Church where she taught Sunday school.

Sue, as she was known to family and friends, was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, and her husband of 31 years, Raymond Carrasco (deceased January 1991).

She is survived by her husband of 17 years, Fred Blaine Taylor, of Williamstown, four daughters, Debra (Phillip) Neal of Wakeman, Ohio, Ila (Steve) Soulchin of Grafton, Ohio, Pamela (Jeff) Gulyas of Stow, Ohio, and Dawn (Daniel) Anderson of Lexington, Kentucky, one son, Fred Nolan Taylor of Bagram Air Base, Afghanistan, seven grandchildren, nine great grandchildren, numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and special friends.

Visitation will be 4 to 8 PM on Wednesday, May 10, 2017 at the Elliston Stanley Funeral Home in Williamstown and 10 AM until time of service on Thursday at the Corinth Baptist Church. Funeral services for Mrs. Taylor will be 12:00 Noon, Thursday, May 11, 2017 at the church. Burial will follow in the KY Veteran’s Cemetery, North, Williamstown.
