Shirley Clay Huff, age 79, of Dry Ridge, KY passed away on Friday, April 14, 2017 at the St. Elizabeth Grant County Hospice.
Born in Mt. Sterling, KY on August 23, 1937 to Herman Virgil and Myrtle (Cruey) Huff who have preceded him in death. He was one of nine children born to them.
He was a military policeman in the U.S.Army from 1954 to 1957. Drove a milk truck for Mr. Rust of Piner, KY. Worked for the Kentucky State Highway Department for 32 years.
He was married to Nelma Jean (Perry) Huff for 59 years who survives his passing. His surviving children are Arlene (Doug) Gosney, DeMossville, Clay Huff (Ann Baymun), Doug Huff and Lowell Huff all of Dry Ridge.
Grandchildren are Steven (Amanda) Gosney, Brandon (Emily) Gosney, Chelsea Gosney, Carrie (Buren) Morgan, G.J. Huff, Derrick Huff, Erica (Jordan) Doane. Seven great grandchildren.
Three brothers Orville, Junior and Leonard and two sisters, Betty Davis and Gladys Baker have also preceded in death. Surviving are three sisters: Hazel Combs, Middletown, OH, Irene May, Miamisburg, OH and Sharon Sue Brown, Burlington.
Services will be Monday, April 17th at the Eckler-McDaniel Funeral Home in Dry Ridge, KY. Visitation will be from 10:00AM to 1:00 PM. Funeral starting at 1:00 PM. final resting place will be Hill Crest Cemetery.
