Linnie “Mack” Killian Lowry, 90, of Crittenden, KY, passed away on Thursday, April 13, 2017.

Mack was born in South Pittsburg, TN on April 22, 1926. She graduated from South Pittsburg High School.  She married the love of her life, John Reed Lowry on May 21, 1944 in Chicopee, MA and then became a loving and joyous mother to John and Susie.  She enjoyed her life as a military wife moving many times and enjoying each locale.  She was a wonderful sister, daughter and friend to all.  She loved to bowl, play bridge, and play UNO with her family. Her nickname was “Mama Mack” which exemplified her loving and caring nature to her friends and family. She spent most of her last 40 years in Smyrna, GA

Mack is survived by her husband of 72 years, John R. Lowry of Crittenden, KY; son John Lowry and daughter-in-law Carolyn Eubank Lowry of Crittenden, KY; daughter Susan Lowry Dickerson and son-in-law Jeff Dickerson of Athens, GA; two grandchildren Chris Lowry and Michael Lowry of Crittenden, KY and great-grandson Wyatt Lowry.

Mack is preceded in death by her parents, Lela and Jere; one brother, Jay and one sister, Katherine

The funeral service will be held at the Kentucky Veterans Cemetery North at 206 Eibeck Lane, Williamstown, KY in the Committal Shelter on Tuesday, April 18, 2017 at 11:00 am with Rev. Bill Conatser of the Walton United Methodist Church officiating. Elliston-Stanley Funeral Home of Crittenden, KY is handling the funeral arrangements.
