Noah Combs

December 11, 1925 - January 28, 2017

Noah Combs, a lifelong Williamstown resident, died Sat., Jan. 28, 2017 in Williamstown at the age of 91 years. He was the son of the late Tom and Ethel Bell Combs.

Mr. Combs was a retired 28 year employee of the Williamstown Post Office having served as an assistant to the Postmaster and as Officer In Charge of the Elliston, Ky. Post Office. He was also a former agent for the Metropolitan Life Insurance Co. He was a graduate of Williamstown High School and 60 year member of the Williamstown Baptist Church where he had served as a Sunday School teacher, member of the church choir and member of the church softball team. During WW II he served as a member of the U.S. Army and during the Korean Conflict as a member of the United States Marine Corps.

He is survived by several cousins and other friends.

Visitation will be Thursday, February 2, 2017 from 12-2pm at the Elliston – Stanley Funeral Home in Williamstown, KY. Funeral services for Mr. Combs will also be Thursday at 2pm. Burial will follow in the Williamstown Cemetery. Memorial contributions are suggested to Williamstown Baptist Church Building Fund, 214 N. Main St., Williamstown, KY. 41097.
