Mrs. Sara Anne Porter Cook of Corinth, KY. passed away Wednesday, August 3 at home at the age of 70. Mrs. Cook was born May 22, 1946 in Ashland, KY. to the late Arthur Gerald Porter and Amanda Snider Porter. Mrs. Cook was a retired administrative assistant for the Department of Defense and a member of the Lafayette Christian Church in Lexington, KY. Mrs. Cook was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother and a tireless advocate for those with autism. She enjoyed reading and working crossword puzzles. She loved to travel and going to different restaurants.
Mrs. Cook is survived by her husband: Harry T. Cook, 2 daughters: Lisa Carole Barnes and her husband Chris of Dry Ridge, KY., Amanda Ford and her husband Mark of Georgetown, KY., a sister: Carole Porter Hart of Lexington, KY., 3 grandchildren: Jonathan Barnes, Petty Officer 3d Class Justin Porter Ford and Harper Ford.
Funeral services for Mrs. Sara Anne Porter Cook will be conducted 12:30 pm Monday, August 8 in the chapel of the McDaniel Funeral Home, Corinth with Rev. Brad Vincent officiating. Visitation will be there on Sunday from 4:00 - 8:00 pm. Burial will be in the Kentucky Veterans Cemetery North in Williamstown, KY.
