Henley Ferson Murphy

July 19, 1945 - July 29, 2016

Henley Ferson Murphy of Dry Ridge was born July 19, 1945 in Kings Mountain, KY and passed away Friday, July 29, 2016 at his residence at the age of 71.

He was the son of the late Vernon and Anna Sims Murphy and a retired driver / salesman for several Cincinnati based beverage distributors. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by 2 grandchildren, Patrick Murphy and Lennox Brown. On April 15, 1972 he was united in marriage to his wife of 44 years, Karen Elizabeth Grubbs Murphy.

In addition to his wife Karen, he is survived by 3 sons, Scott Murphy of Erlanger, James Murphy of Hebron, and Randall Murphy of Dry Ridge; 2 daughters, Melissa Maines of Dry Ridge, and Amy Murphy of Williamstown; 14 grandchildren; 4 sisters, Fern Roberts of Stanford, KY, Clare Ann Mitchell of Waynesburg, KY, Barbara Eldridge of Crittenden, and Brenda Yocum of Kings Mountain; and 2 brothers Clifford Murphy of Kings Mountain, and Jeffery Murphy of Waynesburg.

Funeral services will be 1:00pm Tuesday August 2, 2016 at the Elliston-Stanley Funeral Home, Williamstown, KY followed by burial in the New Vine Run Cemetery. Visitation will be 5:00-8:00pm Monday, August 1, 2016 at the funeral home.
