Marie McCandless Duncan

Marie McCandless Duncan of Williamstown, KY was born December 29, 1925 in Morgan, KY and died Saturday, August 29, 2015 in Edgewood, KY at the age of 89.

She was the daughter of the late Leonard and Mary Bell Day McCandless. She was homemaker as well as a retired store clerk for the former Lerman''s and Littt''s Department stores in Williamstown and a former dispatcher for the City of Williamstown. She was a member of the Mt Carmel Baptist Church.
On August 11, 1946 she was united in marriage to James David "J.D." Duncan who preceded her in death in 1973.
She is survived by 1 daughter, Patsy Fields (Nick) Kinman of Williamstown; 1 grandson, S. David (Tiffany) Fields of Dry Ridge; 3 step grandchildren, Michael (Trisha) Kinman, Scott Kinman, and Jimmy (Brandi) Kinman; and 6 step great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be 2:00pm Thursday, September 3, 2015 at the Elliston-Stanley Funeral Home in Williamstown followed by burial in the Williamstown Cemetery. Visitation will be 5:00-8:00pm Wednesday, September 2, 2015 at the funeral home.
Memorials are suggested to the Mt Carmel Baptist Church Building Fund, or The Grant County Fair Board.
