Shirley Ackman Taylor

August 3, 1928 - July 10, 2015

Shirley Maxine Ackman Taylor was born to William Henry and Margaret Makin Ackman in Cincinnati, Ohio on August 3, 1928 and passed away in the St. Elizabeth Healthcare in Edgewood, Kentucky on July 10, 2015 at the age of 86.

On February 2, 2015, Shirley lost her husband, Carl Maison Taylor. She is survived by her son: Carl Michael Taylor and his wife, Cathy of Williamstown; 6 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren and 3 great great grandchildren. Two sons: Gary Lee Taylor and James Gregory Taylor; brother: Jack Ackman and sister: Dorothy Schroeder also preceded her in death.

Mrs. Taylor was a homemaker and a member of the Williamstown Christian Church. The family has requested memorial contributions be directed to the Kentucky Veterans Cemetery, North in Williamstown or The Salvation Army.

Funeral services will be conducted on Thursday, July 16, 2015 at 1:00 PM at the Elliston - Stanley Funeral Home, 500 N. Main St., Williamstown, KY 41097. Visitation will be at the funeral home from 11:00AM - 1:00 PM on Thursday. Burial will follow in the Kentucky Veterans Cemetery, North, Williamstown.
