James Willard Rhoton

October 9, 1933 - June 28, 2015

James W. Rhoton of Williamstown, Kentucky was born October 9, 1933 and died Sunday, June 28, 2015 in Florence, Kentucky at the age of 81.

He was the son of the late Jesse Walter Carty and Louella Rhoton, a retired mechanic for General Motor''s in Norwood, OH and a former clerk for Grant County Oil Co., and a member of the Stewertsville Baptist Church. On August 7, 1954 he was united in marriage to his wife, Nellie Rella Smith Rhoton, who preceded him in death in 2006.
Surviving is 1 son, James A. Rhoton of Williamstown; 2 daughters, Vicki Adams of Taylor Mill and Rutha May of Latonia; 12 grandchildren;22 great-grandchildren; and 3 brothers, Bill Rhoton of Blackmore, VA, Jack Rhoton and David Rhoton both of Dry Ridge. In addition to his wife and parents, James was also preceded in death by 1 daughter, Datha Rhoton and 1 great-grandson, Steven Mains.
Funeral Services will be 1:00pm Thursday, July2 at the Elliston-Stanley Funeral Home, Williamstown, with burial to follow in the Rhoton Family Cemetery, Williamstown. Visitation will be 11:00am-1:00pm Thursday at the funeral home.
