Thurman Roland

April 6, 1942 - June 3, 2015

Thurman Edward Roland, of Fairfield, Ohio, was born in Williamstown, Kentucky on April 6, 1942 and passed away in Fairfield, Ohio on June 3, 2015 at the age of 73. He was the son of the late Thurman Alexander and Irene C Workman Roland.

On September 6, 1963, Thurman, was united in marriage with Myrtle Jean Kidd. From this union three children were born: Theresa Roland of Hopkinsville, Charles Roland (and his wife, Wendy) of Herndon and David Roland (and his wife, Kelly) of Morgantown. In addition to his loving wife and children, Thurman is survived by his sister: Utha Grubbs of Demossville; brothers: Ronnie (June) Roland of Felicity, OH, Gayle Wayne (Pam) Roland of Union, Ricky (Debbie) Roland of Warsaw, Nicky Roland of Falmouth and Mike (Elizabeth) Roland of Hamilton, OH; 10 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren.

Mr. Roland was a member of the Apostolic Church in Corbin, Kentucky and a retired Automobile Service Station Operator. He was a veteran of the United States Army during the Vietnam War.

Funeral services will be 11:00 AM, Saturday, June 6, 2015 at the Elliston-Stanley Funeral Home, 500 N. Main St., Williamstown, KY 41097. Visitation will be at the funeral home from 4:00 - 8:00 PM, Friday at the funeral home. Burial will be in the Williamstown Cemetery.
