Martha Jo Carr

November 14, 1950 - May 21, 2015

Martha Jo Marcum-Carr was born in Covington, Kentucky on November 14, 1950 and passed away at her home in Corinth, Kentucky on May 21, 2015 at the age of 64. She was the daughter of the late Lewis and Geneva Lee Hellard-Marcum.

United in marriage on October 15, 1977 with her husband, Michael Robert Carr, Martha Jo is survived by her husband; children (and their spouses) Michael Robert Carr II of New Richmond, OH and Robert Lewis Carr (Amanda) of Corinth; Rebecca Jo Woodyard (Brent) of Corinth and Jennifer Lyn Steele (Thomas) of Williamstown; granddaughters: Massey Woodyard and Alliston Woodyard; brother: Lewis Anthony Marcum of Taylor Mill and many other relatives and friends.

A devoted homemaker, Mrs. Carr was a member of several Historical Societies in Eastern Kentucky and a renowned genealogist.

Visitation and Funeral Services will be held at the Elliston - Stanley Funeral Home, 500 N. Main St., Williamstown, KY 41097. Visitation will be from 5:00 - 8:00 PM, Tuesday, May 26th. Funeral services will be at 11:00 AM, Wednesday, May 27, 2015 followed by burial services at the Kentucky Veterans Cemetery North, Williamstown, KY. (Pastor Jason Brown, presiding.) Memorials may be made to the family in care of Mike Carr, II.
