Lula Mae Covey

July 22, 1917 - March 26, 2015

Lula Mae O''Hara Covey, a Williamstown resident and formerly of Dry Ridge, passed away on Thursday, March 26, 2015 at Grant Center in Williamstown at the age of 97. She was preceded in death by her husband Ervin Bay Covey; son, Mickey Covey;sisters: Dorothy Hudson, Mina Marie Roberson, Helen Irene McCrary and Thelma Jean Goforth and son-in-law, Jim Blackney.

Mrs. Covey was the former owner and operator of Covey''s Grocery at four corners and was a member of the Unity Baptist Church.

She is survived by seven sons, Merle Covey (Lucille) of Sparta, Bobby Covey (Bev) of Verona, Donald Covey (Alice) and Larry Covey (Nancy) of Crittenden, Rickey Covey (Patricia) of Williamstown, David Covey (Sue) and Denny Covey (Kay) of Dry Ridge; two daughters, Sue Blackneyof Dry Ridge, Helen Lawson (Jess) of Independence; daughter-in-law, Linda Covey of Williamstown; 23 grandchildren, 39 great grandchildren, 32 great great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be Sat. March 28, 11am-3pm with the funeral at 3pm at the Elliston - Stanley Funeral Home, 500 N. Main St., Williamstown, KY. Burial will follow at the Hill Crest Cemetery in Dry Ridge. Memorials are suggested to the Alzheimer''s Association, 644 Lynn St., Suite 1026, Cincinnati, OH 45203.
