Eleanor Knight Cook

October 12, 1928 - March 10, 2015

Evelyn Eleanor Cook, Dry Ridge,was born in Williamstown, Kentucky on October 12, 1928 and passed away at the St. Elizabeth Hospice in Edgewood, Kentucky on March 10, 2015 at the age of 86. She was the daughter of the late Jesse James and Estelle Scroggins Knight.

On March 3, 1946, Eleanor was united in marriage with Spencer William Cook who preceded her in death on June 11, 2013. From this union one daughter survives: Carol Jean Cook of Dry Ridge. A son, Timothy Wayne Cook died on May 22, 1956. In addition to her loving daughter, Mrs. Cook is survived by one sister: Wilma Colson of Corinth. Her 11 other siblings all preceded her in death: Bradford Knight, Charles David Knight, John Knight, Woodrow Knight, Ivan Knight, Jean Knight, Ailene Knight, Erma Nadine Simpson, Carletta Bolton, Leona Dunn, and Geraldine Holt. Mrs. Cook was a member and former Sunday School Teacher at Clark's Creek Baptist Church.

Funeral services will be 1:00 PM, Monday, March 16, 2015 at the Elliston - Stanley Funeral Home, 500 N. Main St., Williamstown, KY 41097 with the Rev. Ray Gayliss Gaines officiating. Friends may visit at the funeral home from 11:00 AM - 1:00 PM Monday. Burial will follow in the Hill Crest Cemetery, Dry Ridge, KY. Memorials are suggested to the Clark's Creek Baptist Church.
