Cecil "Buddy" Mink
April 22, 1935 - March 2, 2015
Cecil "Buddy" Mink, a Williamstown resident, passed away on Monday, March 2, 2015 at his resident at the age of 79. He was the widower of Verna Lee Hensley Mink and loving son of Cecil B. and Lorene Gilbert Mink, who predeceased him.
Buddy was survived by two daughters, Linda (Michael) Stanco of Granite Falls, NC, Susan (Scott) Switzer of Williamstown, one brother, Roby Mink of Georgetown, KY, one sister, Betty Bennett, of Florence, KY, four grandchildren and eight great grandchildren.
Buddy was retired from the U.S. Postal Service after more than 20 years of service.He was a retired employee of the City of Williamstown as a water and sewage technician after more than 50 years.He volunteered as a dedicated firefighter for more than 60 years, was an outdoor enthusiast, conservationist, loved to salmon fish, hike at Red River Gorge, and hunt morel mushrooms.
Funeral services will be Saturday, March 7, 2015 at 11am.Visitation will be Friday from 5-8pm at the Elliston - Stanley Funeral Home in Williamstown, KY.Buddy will be laid to rest next to his loving wife, at a family farm, at the convenience of the family.
