Georgina Carter Parker Satterwhite, a Florence resident and formerly of Jonesville, passed away at St. Elizabeth Hospice in Edgewood on Monday, February 11, 2013 at the age of 94.She was the widow of Kennett P. Parker and C.L. "Mike" Satterwhite.
Mrs. Satterwhite was a retired school teacher of Owen Co., Grant Co., Pendleton Co., and Williamstown Schools. She was a member of the Grant County Retired Teachers, a former Sunday School teacher and the oldest current member of the Macedonia Baptist Church in Jonesville, KY.
In addition to her husbands, Mrs. Satterwhite was preceded in death by her parents, George and Pearl Hanson Carter, as well as her brother, Joseph Hanson Carter.She is survived by two sons, Joseph M. (Mona) Parker of Florence, KY, Michael C. (Carla) Satterwhite of Williamstown, KY, nine grandchildren, fifteen great grandchildren, and twenty three great great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held Thursday, 5-8pm with the funeral on Friday at 11 a.m., both services at the Elliston-Stanley Funeral Home, Williamstown, KY. Burial will follow at the Owenton Cemetery, Owenton, KY.Memorials may be made to the Macedonia Baptist Church Building Fund, 14460 Jonesville Road, Dry Ridge, KY 41035.
