Tommy Russell

July 5, 1934 - February 8, 2013

Tommy Russell, resident of Dry Ridge, was born near Salyersville, Kentucky on July 5, 1934 and passed away at the St. Elizabeth Healthcare, Grant County in Williamstown, Kentucky on February 8, 2013 at the age of 78.

His wife, Pamela Gay Nasiopoulos Russell, preceded him in death on May 11, 2003. He is survived by his daughter, Daisy Henson of Mt. Olivet, Kentucky and his two granddaughters: Amber Henson and Katie Henson both of Mt. Olivet.

Mr. Russell was a veteran of the United States Navy during the Korean War and retired from the Southern Railroad where he served as a locomotive engineer. He later worked for the Department of Highways for the Commonwealth of Kentucky as a maintenance worker at the I-75 Rest Areas.

Funeral services for Mr. Russell will be 1:00 PM Tuesday, February 12, 2013 at the Elliston - Stanley Funeral Home, 500 N. Main St., Williamstown, KY 41097 with visitation at the funeral home from Noon until the funeral on Tuesday. Burial will be at 3:00 PM at the Riverview Cemetery, Aurora, IN. The family requests those attending bring one rosebud for each person attending. This is in place of regular floral tributes.
