William Atha Sr

March 9, 1927 - April 3, 2012

William Atha, Sr., 85, of Florence passed away Tuesday, April 3, 2012 at the St. Elizabeth Hospice Center in Edgewood.

He was a self-employed foundation contractor and formerly the groundskeeper for the Boone Aire Country Club, a sales representative for Gates Forming Systems and Atha Hay & Straw Supply. He was a member of the Florence Baptist Church and was preceded in death by his wife of fifty one years, Wanda Poore Atha and his parents, Elmer and Mary Inez Morris Atha.

Survivors include a daughter, Cheryl (Dennis) Caldwell of Georgetown; a son, William (Mary Leslie) Atha, Jr. of Monterey; a brother, Bob Atha of Williamstown; a sister, Marcella Calendar of Carrollton; four grandchildren and ten great grandchildren.

Visitation will be 4pm-8pm, Thursday with funeral service 10am, Friday, April 6th at Elliston-Stanley Funeral Home, 500 North Main St., Williamstown, KY 41097. Entombment will be in the Highland Cemetery Mausoleum, Ft. Mitchell.
